HELP YOURSELF:

  • Do you have anyone you can talk to? Anyone that you know will listen to you, that you can trust? Take some time and reach out to them, do it NOW! It’s ok to say to someone that you’re not ok, and it’s ok to let someone know that you’re having a hard time. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

CONSIDER THIS:

  • It sounds like you may have some big stress that is exhausting you. When hard times happen to us, and they happen to all of us, sometimes it’s hard to know if things will ever change, or get better. You have ALREADY STARTED that change by reaching out to Teen Central! Good for you! Take some time and read in our LEARN section about Depression. Depression is one of those things that can happen to us that makes us feel really tired, really uninterested in life, and really negative. But there is HELP! See if this gives you some useful information that helps you understand how you’re feeling. The other resource we want to suggest you look at is about suicide. Take some time to review this information and use it as a way to communicate to others how you’re feeling.
  • Take some time to put energy into doing something that you enjoy. Even if it’s 10 minutes – those 10 minutes can go a long way! Put on a favorite song, favorite video, favorite TV show. Make yourself a snack you really enjoy. Take a walk and breathe deeply. Do something creative – journaling, art, coloring. Remind yourself that you can change where you are and how you feel. Sometimes it feels really hard to make that happen, but even small steps can show you that change can happen!
