I know that i’m a adult. i want resources for myself as adult and since teencentral is more for teens PLEASE TELL ME AND SHARE resources for adults that does, or similar to what teencentral does. Prefix a place were i can step forward and ask for advice in difficult circumstances or situations i am in through my adulthood while battling my ADHD, anxiety, mild depression that takes a hit with winter and seasonal blues.
HELP YOURSELF
- Thank you for reaching out to TeenCentral for help. Asking for help is the first step in recovery and we applaud you for taking that step. Our help tab has many hotlines and warmlines that are available for both teens and adults. If you are in crisis right now I would encourage you to text HELLO to 741741 and start a conversation. Since you are specifically asking for a site that is similar to TeenCentral I would recommend that you check out the resources on the National Alliance of Mental Illness [NAMI] website.
CONSIDER THIS
- TeenCentral recently put out a What’s New blog that is appropriate for adults and teens on the importance of stockpiling MPE’s (Mental Health Protective Equipment) especially during this long haul of the COVID-19 pandemic. The stress of this situation in the world on top of the stressors in each individual’s own life is a significant concerns. The blog provides practical advice for taking care of ourselves during this time. You can read the blog by clicking HERE. These protective strategies are also helpful for some of the issues you mentioned in your story. You can also read more about those conditions on the NAMI website (link provided above) and on TeenCentral’s webiste under the LEARN tab, although that information is geared more for teens.
