I messed up

I’ve done it again.  I messed up.

HELP YOURSELF:

  • Welcome to Teen Central!!!  It sounds like your struggling with your feelings.  Give yourself credit for having the courage to look for help.
  • Take a look at the TC website.  There are many tools to help you.
  • Do you have a friend that you feel comfortable talking about your concerns?  Maybe a family member, counselor, or teacher?  Sometimes when we can get our worries of our chest it creates a huge relief.  This will also give a chance to get someone else’s perspective.  Maybe things won’t feel as bad if you talk it out.
  •  If you ever start to feel just too overwhelmed or helpless, there are people who can and want to help. Under the “HELP” tab of TeenCentral.com there are many hotlines, text-lines, and websites available to support you.

CONSIDER THIS:

  • Journal your thoughts and let them be just that – thoughts.  Nothing is right or wrong, just write what’s on your mind.  If you’d like, check out the TC website.  Under the “What’s New” tab you will find an article about Journaling as a coping skill.  You might find this beneficial to get your thoughts down on paper.  There are other articles like, ” Art as a coping skill for stress”  These are things that help you deal with the stress and negative thoughts that you may be dealing with.
  • You may also want to check out the TOOLS tab.  There is great information on things like “daily positive affirmations”.
  • The tools section has many different topics that may help you to figure out your feelings.  You are strong!!!  Take time to laugh, go outside and get sunshine for 20 minutes at day.  Read about deep breathing to help reduce stress and anxiety.  Reach out to the TC community if would like to write more about your feelings.  BE STRONG!
