HERE’S WHAT TO DO FIRST
- First we would like to thank you for having the courage to reach out for help! Reaching out for help is important when going through a difficult time and you should be proud of yourself!
- If you are ever feeling unsafe or feel like you have nobody to talk to remember under the “HELP” tab of TeenCentral.com there are many hotlines, text-lines, and websites available to support you. You can call the NATIONAL SUICIDE HOTLINE – dial 988 or go to their website at https://988lifeline.org/. If it’s easier for you to text, you can use the CRISIS TEXT LINE – Text “HOME” to 741741 or visit their website at www.crisistextline.org.
- While there are online resources you can access, talking to someone you know may help! Some people you can turn to could include a trusted teacher, a guidance counselor, a friend, family member, coach, or a religious leader!
