Don’t Know What I am Doing

By March 22, 2024No Comments

Idk what I’m doing anymore
Hey. I’ve written on here before, but I feel like I’m getting worse. My depression isn’t getting better and my mom is just making it so much worse. She makes me feel like dying. I have no one to talk to, I don’t have my phone. I have no way of talking to anyone about this. My meds are not helping me at all. And I know I need help but I don’t really wanna leave my boyfriend. But I honestly wanna die. I feel like he is the only person keeping me alive right now, because my family hates me.

HELP YOURSELF:

  • Thank you so much for thinking of TeenCentral! With everything you have going on that must be very overwhelming and even scary & lonely at times. But we are here to help and provide you with as many tools as possible.
  • Whenever you are feeling so scared that you may hurt yourself or even are just thinking about harming yourself, consider contacting that National Suicide Hotline by calling 988 or by visiting suicidepreventionlifeline.org. Someone is always available to help 24/7.
    • Another great option is the Crisis Textline. Counselors and resources are available 24/7 on their website crisistextline.org, or if you prefer texting, simply text the word “HOME” to 741741.
  • You mentioned that you have a boyfriend, have you talked to him about these feelings? How about your doctor? Please remember that people are out there that may be able to help/support you through these challenging times.

CONSIDER THIS:

  • You mentioned that you have written in to TeenCentral in the past, have you checked out our What’s New and Stories sections? The What’s New section is full of blogs and posts cover many different topics that may help ease your mind and anxieties and help guide you through this journey. Next I mentioned our Stories section, this has every entry submitted to us with our responses. You can find many stories from teens experiencing similar feelings as you and maybe even situations. Take comfort in knowing you are not alone and read through some of these, they may help you as well.
  • If you are familiar with our website, I am sure you have seen the Tools section. The Tools section offers many resources in the form of activity sheets and simple guides to help you navigate through some of these scary feelings and situations. Some topics that may be helpful to you are MPE Toolkit, Support Plan, & Daily Positive Reminder.
  • Head over our  Learn tab. Here you car learn about many topics such as Depression, Family, Suicide, and overall Wellness including things such as Being Active, Nutrition, Relaxation, and Spirituality.
  • Do you have any coping skills? Think hard about the things in life you enjoy. Writing, Reading, Journaling? How about listening to music or playing a musical instrument? Do you enjoy working with your hands such as doing any arts or crafts by painting, drawing, sculpting or building? I never forget about Exercise! Exercise is a great way to release pent up energy. It gets the mind and body moving and working to produce those happy juices inside of us to help promote positive energy, positive mind, and an overall healthier life physically and mentally.

Try to remember that even when you feel alone that you are not, you just haven’t found your support system yet. It is out there, and I hope that we have been able to help you find it. Good luck, best wishes, and remember…You Got This!
