My life is a jail and I want out!!!!!!

My life is a jail and I want out!!!!!! I just want to be dead but I don’t like just yeah. Life is too long. I’m only fifteen and I feel like I’ve been alive, can I die already?! Like why the hell is life so long???? I honestly don’t see the point in life anymore. But I’m afraid of death so. And this girl at my old school is saying stuff to the other girls without my permission and now I’m like well great but that doesn’t really matter. I just hate my life. No I’m not in immediate danger, yes I have a trusted therapist, no my psych meds don’t work, yes I already asked my psychiatrist about that, the end.

WHAT TO DO FIRST:

  • First, thanks for taking the step to reach out to the TeenCentral community – that’s a great sign that there’s hope there. And it’s true… there is hope and support here as well. Please HANG IN THERE. We appreciate you stating you aren’t in danger now but just know that there are a bunch of helpful contacts under our HELP page if you ever question your safety. That is our number 1 priority.
  • We can definitely feel your pain and frustration and can see why you would be. Especially when rumors are being spread about you it’s easy to feel like the world is against you and there’s no escape. It does sound like you have trusted positive people in your corner, and that is awesome news… we hope you use them in this moment. YOU CAN GET THROUGH THIS.
  • It’s also tough when you feel like your meds aren’t helping. But you aren’t alone in that either. Unfortunately, it’s not an exact science in how an individual will respond to medication. What we can recommend is educating yourself and doing your own research (using reputable sources) to better understand what your needs are and how to communicate that to your doctors.

WHERE TO GO NEXT:

  • Is there anyone at this school that you trust and can talk to about this? It’s important that you can get supported and maybe even help with addressing this situation in a positive way.
  • When everything FEELS sucky, it’s easy to forget that not everything IS sucky. What are the things that do bring you some happiness… even if it’s just the smallest bit. That’s a great start. It can be simple things like your favorite songs, movies, or candle scents. Anything that brings a smile to your face. Try to do those things for at least 10 minutes a day.
  • DON’T GIVE UP! it may not always feel like it but this situation with the girl at school will go away and get better. You seem really in tune with yourself and your feelings and that can be a huge strength if you have something to look forward to. Are there any goals you can set for yourself when you are feeling better? Small things in whatever area interests you could be a good way to start.
