HELP YOURSELF:

  • First thing I want to say is thank you, for having the courage to reach out to TeenCentral for guidance. Often times, reaching out for help is very difficult for many reasons. Be proud of yourself for making that big step.
  • What you are describing is a very difficult situation and pretty serious. Think of an adult that you can trust like your school counselor, teacher, someone from a church and/or your friend’s parents. Having a conversation with an adult would be the best place to start.
  • Support to all individuals in crisis:

HERE ARE SOME SAFE PLACES TO TURN FOR HELP:

  • Your guidance counselors they are there for you! Reach out to your school- via email in order to contact them. At some schools, you can even make an in-person appointment to talk directly with them face to face.
  • Check in with your teachers. You may only see them during class or virtually, but they are still a resource that can connect you to the help you may need. It’s one of the people you have (some sort of) contact with almost every day.
