I am just tired of life I am always thinking about my ex or ending it and frankly I’m not ok at all…
First Things First:
- I’m really glad you reached out and shared what’s been on your mind. It sounds like you’re carrying an overwhelming amount of pain right now. When someone you care about is gone, it can feel like they’re constantly on your mind, and that kind of heartbreak can make everything else seem impossible to handle.
Since you feel unsafe and have thoughts of ending it, you should reach out to the National Crisis Hotline right away by calling or texting 988. They also offer instant messaging on their website.
- Who do you trust that you could talk to? Have you told your parents how you feel? You may be surprised how concerned they would be for you. Perhaps they would help connect with a counselor or someone else with who you would feel comfortable.
Getting through the day:
- This sadness you feel may be related to Depression. Do you think you may feel depressed after the loss of your relationship? Consider reading our LEARN section on Depression. Also, we have a workbook that may be helpful to you. You can download it HERE.
- Letting go of something that meant so much to you can be extremely difficult. Right now it feels like you’ll never heal – but you CAN! Maybe this is a good time to focus on yourself and really figure out who you are alone and not “in context” of that other person. Journalling is a great way to do this if you never have before. If you need help getting started take a look at this article on our blog. And then if you need more prompts, not to worry! We have the tool you need right HERE.
- Most importantly, think about the future and what you want for your life. I’m sure it’s not to be feeling this way all the time.
You matter, and I’m really glad you posted today. Let someone in your life know what you’re going through. You deserve support, and you don’t have to face this alone.
